Cabbage soup recipeIngredients: a grated or chopped cabbage, 2 large onions, also chopped, a can of tomatoes in tomato sauce, 2 peppers, 4 celery roots, 1-2 cubes of a mixture of spices and dried vegetables, black pepper, fresh chopped herbs (dill, parsley), 6 sliced carrots, 250 g of green beans.Place all the vegetables in a large pan and cover them with water. When the mixture starts to boil, add the mixture of spices and dried vegetables and continue to simmer for 10 minutes. Add the pepper and the dried herbs. Day seventh: steamed rice, fresh vegetables and unsweetened fruit juice - no matter the quantities - and soup, at least once. Experts disagree with this diet, identifying it as another vegetarian obsession, whose basic quality is that is eliminates water from tissues. "The cabbage doesn't burn fats", says Xavier Pi-Suyner, certified physician, director of the Obesity Research Centre of Research at St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. And he adds: "But the soup is filling and acts as an appetite suppressor." On the other hand, many of those following this diet complain of nausea, bloating, dizziness. "If you eat two helpings a day as part of a very carefully though diet, you will most likely lose weight, but it doesn't have to necessarily be cabbage - any low calories soup is ideal", says dr. Pi-Suyner.
