Fatigue - natural remediesIt is normal to feel tired at the end of the day or after exhausting mental or physical activities. Rest, relaxation and a good night's sleep are usually enough to restore your energy levels. Still, persistent fatigue or a feeling that seems disproportionate with the level of energy consumed may indicate a disease or the need to change something in your lifestyle. There are so many people that constantly feel tired, that the term of permanent fatigue has entered the current medical vocabulary. The fatigue due to insomnia or that doesn't pass away after sleeping has many possible causes: tiredness and anxiety, but also anemia, chronic fatigue syndrome, stress, depression, an eating disorder, an infection, high blood pressure, obesity, poor nutrition, an insufficiently active thyroid gland. Most often, a persistent feeling of fatigue is based on multiple factors. Ways to prevent fatigueEat a nourishing diet, based mostly on fresh food products and get enough sleep. Exercise regularly and learn to control your stress.Diet:In order to have the necessary physical and mental energy, eat food products rich in vitamins B, C and E, iron, magnesium and potassium. If you consume processed, unhealthy foods on a regular basis, your pancreas will start to excrete an excess of insulin, as a reaction to the increased level of sugar in your blood. After you consume refined carbs, the level of sugar in your blood first increases rapidly and then it suddenly falls to an abnormally low level. This makes you feel weak, irritable, tired and suffering from headaches. Hypoglycemia increases the risk of food allergies. In order to avoid this risk: - Include in your regular diet food products rich in fibers. - Choose especially products rich in soluble fibers, like apples, oat flakes and vegetables. - Limit the consumption of food products containing refined carbs. - Limit the consumption of caffeine. - Limit the consumption of alcohol. - Check if you eat enough food products rich in chrome (liver, cheese, whole cereals). Physical exercises:The physical activity is beneficial because it contributes to the elimination of toxins remaining in the organism due to the lack of exercise or by physical and mental stress. In time, it accelerates the metabolism and provides you with more energy. A sedentary lifestyle develops a predisposition for gaining weight, and the extra pounds are even more tiring. Still, you must slowly get used with physical exercises.Stress control:Try to do the following activities on a regular basis:- Find time to relax. Your body and brain cannot stand but a limited dosage of effort, after which they demand rest. If you are constantly alerted or try to do as much as possible in a day's time, even when you cross the normal limit by a bit you can suddenly suffer from fatigue. - Vary your activities. Working at the office or at an assembly line an entire day can exhaust both your physical and mental energy; try to take a walk once in a while. Low Blood PressureA low blood pressure may be caused by fatigue. If you have this problem:- Eat healthy - Use more salt in your diet. - Rush your blood stream on a daily basis by drinking a cup of plant infusion or a dose of tincture prepared from a mixture of ginger, angelica, harvest mite and nettle. - Place in your warm bath water a few drops of ginger, marjoram, rosemary or cinnamon. TreatmentDiet:When your level of energy decreases, consume a nourishing meal/snack that would keep you going until the next rich meal. Give up alcohol and caffeine completely.Stress control:If you feel tired because you work too much at work or at home, try to establish if the pressure comes from others or from yourself. Find practical ways in which to reduce you amount of work.Change the setting or do something interesting that should counteract the fatigue from the boring routine. Physical exercises:When your energy level decreases after a day of too little exercise, take a brisk walk, go for a swim or to the gym.Yoga and tai chi:This type of specialized exercises can increase the level of energy through deep breathing, stretching and light moves.Aromatherapy:- Ask a friend to massage you with essential oils. HydrotherapyA warm bath can drive away fatigue caused by stress.
