Health using natural treatments - loss of sexual appetite

The level of sexual appetite, also called libido, changes throughout your life under the influence of emotional and physical factors. Among them, we can count fatigue, stress, diseases, birth and the relationship between partners. Natural therapies can be helpful, improving your general health condition so you can feel at your best.

As the situation goes for most of the other aspects of human behavior, the need for sex is different from an individual to another. A low sexual appetite is not a reason for concern in itself, as long as the partners are satisfied with the amount of sex in their relationship.

Various medications, like certain antidepressants and antihypertensives, can reduce the sexual appetite. Some older men have difficulties in getting or maintaining an erection. Women having reached menopause may not want sexual intercourse due to the discomfort caused by the vaginal dryness or some problems originating in the change of the hormonal regime.

Treatment

Aromatherapy: Ylang ylang and clary sage oil favor relaxation and sensuality. Rose oil is traditionally associated with an increase in sexual desire.

- In order to reinstall the calm and harmony, place a mixture of 4 drops ylang ylang and clary sage oil or sandal wood and geranium oil in a vaporizer or use only 4 drops of rose oil. Or you can choose to pulverize some drops of special oils on the sheets.
- Add 2 drops of ylang ylang and clary sage oil and 3 drops of geranium oil in 2 teaspoons of sweet almond oil or any other cold pressed vegetable oil and use the mixture to massage the back, legs and abdomen of your partner.
- Avoid smoking and don't drink too much alcohol, because both of them can reduce the libido.

Fitotherapy: Certain teas or plant tinctures can come in handy.

- Women should drink a cup of raspberry leaves tea in the evenings or take a few drops of raspberry leaves tincture mixed with half a cup of water.
- In order to help you relax, men and women should drink a cup of tea from a calming plant like chamomile or verbena daily.

Diet: A poor diet is probably responsible for the low sexual appetite of many people.

- Eat food products rich in vitamins
