Natural remedies for acne

Acne is the dermatological condition encountered in both adults and youngsters. It is characterized through the inflammation of the sebaceous glands and is usually localized on the skin of the face, but also of the neck, chest, back, shoulders and occasionally, of the hands and feet.

It is apparently genetically transmitted, but this hypothesis has not been proven (just yet). Either way, acne appears as a result of hormonal changes during puberty, but can also appear on a seborrhoeic complexion that enters into contact with various impurities. A diet rich in fat has also been considered responsible for acne, but its "guilt" is over-rated. Of course, in order to treat acne, an adequate diet is also efficient but not sufficient.

The severe forms of acne appear more frequently in men. In women, the forms of acne can vary with the hormonal changes during their menstrual period.

Young women contribute to the development of this pathology using inadequate cosmetic products or by using no products. In order to avoid the appearance of acne a careful removal of make up and the invigoration of the complexion are necessary. We also recommend special hydrating creams, part of the dermocosmetic category of products, like the La Roche-Posay range, available in pharmacies.

The dermatological consultation is mandatory prior to a medication treatment. In its absence, we recommend some natural remedies that can aid the medication or can even replace it if the acne is not serious.

Recipe 1:

Beer yeast, olive oil, rice maceration extract. The paste obtained form mixing the three ingredients should be applied on the affected areas every evening, 10 days a month.

Recipe 2:

Chamomile compresses, tansy and brotherwort tincture.

Recipe 3:

Clay mask. Crush the clay and mix with cucumber or grape juice. Leave on the face for approximately 15 minutes, and then wash with mineral water.

Frequent mistakes we do trying to get rid of spots

1. You mustn't use soap to wash your face! You may get rid of spots by using it, but you will replace them with wrinkles.
2. Using fatty creams on areas affected by acne is also a mistake. Use dermocosmetic products to hydrate your complexion affected by acne.
3. Dehydration. A poorly hydrated complexion is a complexion with problems. Don't forget to drink as much water as possible to help "cleanse" your organism.
